The game in Halle was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Herner TC (3-1) played at the court of 7th ranked SV Halle Lions (1-3). Herner TC defeated SV Halle Lions 79-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Herner TC. SV Halle Lions was better in third quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American-Italian guard Beatrice Attura (170-94, college: Northwestern St., agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws). American forward Courtney Range (190-95, college: California, agency: LBM Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Herner TC players scored in double figures. American power forward Khadijah Shumpert (188-93, college: N.Mexico) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Brittany Hrynko (173-93, college: De Paul, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for SV Halle Lions. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Herner TC moved-up to third place, which they share with Donau-Ries. Loser SV Halle Lions dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Herner TC will face Goettingen (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. SV Halle Lions will play against TH Wohnbau Angels in Noerdlingen and hope to win that game.
