Regular Season Round 2: Illiabum - Galitos-Barreiro 83-70

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Galitos-Barreiro (1-1) in Ilhavo on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Illiabum (2-0) 83-70. Illiabum outrebounded Galitos-Barreiro 44-30 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Jeff Early (190-88, college: S.Illinois) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Canadian-Serbian forward Aleksandar Danilovic (202-93) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Illiabum players scored in double figures. Illiabum's coach Pedro Nuno Monteiro used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
