Regular Season Round 4: Ludwigsburg - Giessen 46ers 81-83

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated EnBW Ludwigsburg (2-1) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were edged by fourteenth ranked Giessen 46ers (1-3) 83-81. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of EnBW Ludwigsburg. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Max Landis (188-93, college: IPFW) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and the other American import point guard Dee Davis (183-93, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) who added 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Justin Sears (203-94, college: Yale) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and international Johannes Thiemann (204-94) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Giessen 46ers left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. EnBW Ludwigsburg at the other side dropped to the ninth position with one game lost. Giessen 46ers is looking forward to face Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#14) at home in the next round. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against Braunschweig (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
