Regular Season Round 5: BSW Sixers - Wusterhausen 80-65

Very predictable result in Sandersdorf where leader Sixers (4-0) defeated 7th ranked WSG Koenigs (1-2) 80-65 on Saturday. Sixers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by WSG Koenigs' players. Croatian point guard Luka Petkovic (190-88) stepped up and scored 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners and American forward Terrence Williams (198-93, college: Charlotte) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Naturalized French Souleymane Diallo (194-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and guard Thomas Schoeps (188-89, college: Odessa JC) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sixers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of North leader, which they share with Aschersleben. Loser WSG Koenigs keep the seventh place with two games lost. Sixers will face Stade (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. WSG Koenigs will play against Goetting.ASC (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
