Regular Season Round 2: Gaziantep - Pinar Karsiyaka 74-73

A very interesting game took place in Gaziantep. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of Pinar Karsiyaka (1-1) to Gaziantep (1-1) 74-73 in the game for the fourth place. It looked good early as Pinar Karsiyaka took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Gaziantep had a 25-16 second period charge getting the lead and Pinar Karsiyaka was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-74. The best player for the winners was American forward Victor Rudd (205-91, college: S.Florida, agency: GFSG) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import Sean Armand (196-91, college: Iona) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Hungarian power forward Jarrod Jones (207-90, college: Ball St.) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and American point guard Dominic Waters (185-86, college: Portland St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 17 points and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Gaziantep's next round opponent will be Fenerbahce (#10) in Istanbul where they are favorite. Pinar Karsiyaka will play at home against Galatasaray (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
