Very important is a home loss of third ranked Baskets Grunberg (2-2) against tenth ranked Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (1-2) on Sunday night. Host Baskets Grunberg was defeated by Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel in Gruenberg 77-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Baskets Grunberg. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel's coach Christian Raus allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Margaret Proffitt (175, college: Cent.Arkansas) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Celia Marfone (183-94, college: Cal-Davis) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Baskets Grunberg. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel maintains tenth position in North with 1-2 record. Baskets Grunberg at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel's next round opponent will be higher ranked Osnabruecker (#3) at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Baskets Grunberg will play against TuSLi Berlin in Lichterfelde and hope to win that game.
