Very important is a home loss of third ranked Baskets Grunberg (2-2) against tenth ranked Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (1-2) on Sunday night. Host Baskets Grunberg was defeated by Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel in Gruenberg 77-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Baskets Grunberg. The game was mostly controlled by Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel. Baskets Grunberg was better in third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Baskets Grunberg 43-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for Canadian guard Nakeshia Hyde (180-90, college: Texas Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Brianna Rollerson (183-94, college: Creighton) contributed with 8 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel's coach Christian Raus allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Margaret Proffitt (175, college: Cent.Arkansas) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Celia Marfone (183-94, college: Cal-Davis) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Baskets Grunberg. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel maintains tenth position in North with 1-2 record. Baskets Grunberg at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel's next round opponent will be higher ranked Osnabruecker (#3) at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
