Regular Season Round 4: Rist Wedel - Rostock 68-66

A very close game took place in Wedel between SC Rist Wedel and Rostock. Fourth ranked SC Rist Wedel (3-1) got a very close home victory over 8th ranked Rostock (1-3). SC Rist Wedel managed to escape with a 2-point win 68-66 on Sunday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian guard Nino Celebic (191-91) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 assists and forward Vincent Kittmann (199-88) who added 6 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jordan Talbert (198-91, college: Missouri So.) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Brandon Lockhart (185-90, college: Drury) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Rostock players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. SC Rist Wedel moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Bernau. Rostock lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. SC Rist Wedel will meet Oldenburg (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rostock will play against Cuxhaven and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
