Very expected game in Noerdlingen where 8th ranked SV Halle Lions (1-4) were defeated by fourth ranked TH Wohnbau Angels (4-1) 85-78 on Sunday. SV Halle Lions trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 27-22 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 78-85 at the end of the game. They outrebounded SV Halle Lions 52-32 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Canadian forward Kim Pierre-Louis (183-93, college: Massachusetts) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 23 rebounds for the winners and American guard Jennifer Schlott (168-91, college: Utah St., agency: LBM Management) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists. Five TH Wohnbau Angels players scored in double figures. SV Halle Lions' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. TH Wohnbau Angels moved-up to second place, which they share with Herner and Keltern. SV Halle Lions lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. TH Wohnbau Angels will face Goettingen (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SV Halle Lions will play against Hannover and hope to win that game.
