Regular Season Round 4: Stevnsgade - Randers 67-97
Date: October 20, 2017
Bottom-ranked Stevnsgade (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to sixth ranked Randers (2-1) 97-67. The game was mostly controlled by Randers. Stevnsgade was better in fourth quarter 26-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Randers dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Stevnsgade's 26. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Stevnsgade was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Nigerian-American guard Deuce Bello (192-92, college: E.Tenn.St.) who scored that evening 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Kyndahl Hill (201-94, college: Weber St.) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds by international forward Mathias Seilund (204-90, college: Fair Dickinson) did not help to save the game for Stevnsgade. FYR Macedonian forward Boris Vukicevic (190-98) added 13 points for lost side. Five Randers and four Stevnsgade players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Randers moved-up to fifth place. Stevnsgade at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Randers will play against league's second-placed Naestved at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Stevnsgade will play against the league's leader Horsens IC (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
