Regular Season Round 5: Art.Dragons - Stahnsdorf 87-65

There was no surprise in Quakenbrueck where 12th ranked RSV Eintracht (1-4) was crushed by fourth ranked Artland Dragons (3-1) 87-65 on Saturday. Artland Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to RSV Eintracht's 32. Artland Dragons looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Andre Calvin (201-85, college: Drake) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Belgian center Gilles Dierickx (213-92, college: Seattle Pacific) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. American guard Mike Holton-Jr (185-90, college: St.Michael's) produced 22 points and forward Julius Stahl (195-95) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Artland Dragons. They moved-up to third place in North. RSV Eintracht lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Artland Dragons will face AstroStars (#4) in Bochum in the next round. RSV Eintracht will play at home against ETB Wohnbau (#6) and hope to win that game.
