No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (3-1) beat at home 6th ranked Vienna (1-3) 92-77 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 15-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-77. Kapfenberg Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Vienna's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Vienna's players. The winners were led by American guard Kareem Jamar (194-92, college: Montana) who scored that evening 27 points and 6 assists and the other American import guard Marck Coffin (193-91, college: Idaho Coll.) supported him with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Kapfenberg Bulls' coach Michael Schrittwieser used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) did not help to save the game for Vienna. Czech center Jiri Hubalek (208-82, college: Iowa St., agency: Interperformances) added 17 points for lost side. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Klosterneuburg. Vienna lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Furstenfeld. Kapfenberg Bulls will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Vienna will play against Furstenfeld Panthers (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
