Nevezis has registered their first victory this season after five consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Utena, where they defeated Juventus (0-8) 80-74 on Saturday. American guard Malcolm Grant (185-88, college: Miami, FL) stepped up and scored 32 points and 4 assists for the winners and Latvian Rihards Kuksiks (197-88, college: Arizona St.) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Nevezis' coach Ramunas Cvirka used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Simas Buterlevicius (200-89, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 12 points and 8 assists and American point guard Anthony Ireland (175-91, college: Loyola Mary, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points. Five Juventus players scored in double figures. Nevezis maintains eighth place with 1-5 record. It was Juventus' eighth loss in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost.
