There was no surprise when 9th ranked Wuerzburg (1-4) was crushed at home by leader SG Schwelmer Baskets (5-0) 82-58 on Sunday. SG Schwelmer Baskets made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Chris Hortman (190-88, college: Wisc.-Stout) who scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Lithuanian swingman Andrius Mikutis (194-88, college: John Brown) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four SG Schwelmer Baskets players scored in double figures. American guard Miles Jackson-Cartwright (190-92, college: Pennsylvania) produced 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Tim Leonhardt (200-94) added 13 points and 5 steals respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
