Regular Season Round 3: Canik Belediye - Yakin Dogu 47-65

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Canik Belediye (2-1) in Samsun on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Yakin Dogu BGD (3-0) 65-47. Yakin Dogu BGD dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Canik Belediye's 14. Yakin Dogu BGD had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Hungarian-American point guard Courtney Vandersloot (173-89, college: Gonzaga) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Yakin Dogu BGD is looking forward to face Abdullah Gul in Kayseri in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Canik Belediye will play on the road against Hatay (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
