Regular Season Round 3: Mersin Gelisim - Orduspor 90-71

Mersin Gelisim used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Ordu 90-71. Mersin Gelisim forced 25 Orduspor turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for Gizem Kumandanoglu (-94) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 8 steals. American center Rachel Mitchell (201-92, college: Texas A&M) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Ukrainian center Olena Staschuk (192-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and Ece Onat (-98) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Orduspor. Mersin Gelisim's next round opponent will be Osmaniye (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Orduspor will play against Izmit (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
