There was no surprise when 9th ranked Goettingen (1-5) was crushed at home by second ranked TH Wohnbau Angels (5-1) 86-54. The game without a history. TH Wohnbau Angels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Goettingen's 36 and made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Goettingen 40-24 including a 28-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American guard Jennifer Schlott (168-91, college: Utah St., agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian forward Kim Pierre-Louis (183-93, college: Massachusetts) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five TH Wohnbau Angels players scored in double figures. American guard Marissa Janning (173-93, college: Creighton) replied with 14 points and her fellow American import Casey Smith (188, college: Fairfield) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Goettingen. Goettingen's coach Giannis Koukos gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. TH Wohnbau Angels maintains second position with 5-1 record behind leader Wasserburg, which they share with Keltern. Goettingen lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. TH Wohnbau Angels will play against league's leader TSV 1880 Wasserburg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
