Regular Season Round 4: Rivne - Dynamo-NPU 62-64

The most exciting game of round 4 in the Superleague took place in Rivne. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Rivne (4-3) to fifth ranked Dynamo-NPU (3-3) 64-62 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Rivne. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Rivne won fourth quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dynamo-NPU made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Olena Boiko (185-97) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 6 rebounds. Nataliia Tsiubyk (178-98) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Tetiana Havrylchyk (196-0) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Viktoriya Kovalevska (170-99) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for Rivne. Dynamo-NPU moved-up to fourth place. Rivne at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Dynamo-NPU are looking forward to face Vinnystkiye M. (#7) in Vinnytsia in the next round. Rivne will play at home against the league's leader Kyiv Basket (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
