Rather expected game in Lisbona where Benfica B (0-2) was defeated by Imortal (2-0) 77-59 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-59. Imortal dominated on the defensive end, holding Benfica B to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Benfica B 47-29 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Rafael Wildner (207-92) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Angolan forward Sergio Correia (198-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Four Imortal players scored in double figures. Power forward Goncalo Delgado (204-98) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and guard Rafael Santos (175-99) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Imortal will face Moscavide (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Benfica B will play against Academica in Coimbra and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
