Regular Season Round 5: Rivne - Kyiv Basket 55-87

The game between Top Four teams took place in Rivne. 3rd placed host Rivne (4-4) was smashed by leader Kyiv Basket (7-0) 87-55. The game was mostly controlled by Kyiv Basket. Rivne managed to win fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rivne to just 5 points in first quarter. Kyiv Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Rivne's 22. Five Kyiv Basket players scored in double figures. Center Tetiana Havrylchyk (196-0) responded with 6 points and 12 rebounds and forward Viktoriya Kasatkina (187-92) scored 8 points and 5 assists. Kyiv Basket have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Newly promoted Kyiv Basket maintains first place with 7-0 record. Rivne at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Kyiv Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kyiv to the arena Dynamo-NPU.
