Regular Season Round 7: TSV Troester - Zwickau 106-67

Very predictable result when second ranked TSV Troester (5-1) rolled over 13th ranked GGZ Baskets (1-5) in Breitenguessbach 106-67 on Saturday. TSV Troester forced 20 GGZ Baskets turnovers and outrebounded them 38-21 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for power forward Lucas Wagner (200-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Sven Lorber (187-97) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four TSV Troester players scored in double figures. TSV Troester's coach Ulf Schabacker felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Croatian swingman Sandro Kordis (195-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and forward Andreas Endig (198-78) added 13 points in the effort for GGZ Baskets. TSV Troester maintains second place in South-East with 5-1 record behind leader Aschersleben, which they share with Treuchtlingen and Gotha II. GGZ Baskets lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. TSV Troester will face Gotha II (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. GGZ Baskets will play against Muenchen OSB (#7) and hope to win that game.
