An interesting game was also a 24-point home defeat of 2nd ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen in a game versus BV Villingen-Schwenningen (#1) 92-68. It was a key game for the top position in South-West. BV Villingen-Schwenningen outrebounded Saarlouis/Dillingen 43-24 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian-Hungarian Nikola Fekete (192-91) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). American-British forward Christian Behrens (206-92, college: California) accounted for 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four BV Villingen-Schwenningen players scored in double figures. Bosnian-Croatian forward Ivan Skrobo (200-93) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) added 22 points respectively for Saarlouis/Dillingen in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BV Villingen-Schwenningen (6-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place in South-West. Loser Saarlouis/Dillingen dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. BV Villingen-Schwenningen will meet at home Mainz (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Saarlouis/Dillingen will play against Koblenz (#7) and hope to secure a win.
