Regular Season Round 3: Konjice - Medvode 72-103

We should mention about the upset which took place in Konjice, where Konjice (1-2) was outleveled at home by Medvode (2-1) 103-72 on Saturday. The game without a history. Medvode led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Medvode forced 19 Konjice turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. It was a great evening for guard Luka Novak (190-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Dejan Buncic (177-77) helped adding 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Medvode players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Gasper Sevsek (198-93) with 21 points and 7 rebounds and guard Niko Bacvic (180-97) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Medvode will meet at home Sezana (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Konjice will play against Grosuplje (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
