Regular Season Round 7: Rosenheim - Treuchtlingen 90-101

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Rosenheim (2-4) lost at home to fourth ranked Treuchtlingen (5-1) 101-90 on Saturday. Treuchtlingen shot 63.2 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Rosenheim was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for forward Stefan Schmoll (196-89) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). Guard Tim Eisenberger (197-91) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Four Treuchtlingen players scored in double figures. French forward Evans Ganapamo (201-94, college: Prairie View A&M) answered with 42 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and American point guard Jguwon Hogges (173-86, college: Oregon Tech) added 25 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Rosenheim. Rosenheim's coach Mario Knezevic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Treuchtlingen moved-up to second place in South-East, which they share with TSV Troester and Gotha II. Loser Rosenheim dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Treuchtlingen will face Jena II (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Rosenheim will play against the league's leader Vilsbiburg (#1) and hope to win that game.
