Very expected game in Ulm where 13th ranked OrangeAcademy (1-5) was defeated by fourth ranked Phoenix Hagen (5-1) 75-60. American center Alex Herrera (206-92, college: Fort Lewis, agency: Two Points) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard James Reid (190-94, college: Boise St.) supported him with 14 points and 5 assists. Four Phoenix Hagen players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by power forward Nils Mittmann (201-79) did not help to save the game for OrangeAcademy. Center Bjoern Rohwer (213-95) added 7 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Phoenix Hagen have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Crailsheim and Hamburg. OrangeAcademy lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with five games lost. Phoenix Hagen's next round opponent will be league's leader SC Rasta Vechta at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. OrangeAcademy will play against Baunach (#16) and hope to win that game.
