Regular Season Round 6: Piraten - BBU S. 68-86

BBU S. has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Klagenfurt, where they defeated Worthersee Piraten (0-6) 86-68. It was a good game for Spanish forward Guillermo Sanchez (200-91) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Spanish guard Sergio Jimenez (188-95) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four BBU S. players scored in double figures. Forward Ian Moschik (203-96) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and guard Lukas Simoner (190-99) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Worthersee Piraten. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BBU S. (1-5) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Basket 2K. It was Worthersee Piraten's sixth loss in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. BBU S.'s next round opponent will be higher ranked UBC St. Polten (#5) in St.Polten and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Worthersee Piraten will play on the road against Lions (#3) in Dornbirn and hopes to get finally their first victory.
