The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Chavdar (2-1) in Troyan on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by UE Varna (3-0) 90-50. UE Varna held Chavdar to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.4 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Chavdar 46-28 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for naturalized Portuguese swingman Venelin Hristov (198-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Nikolay Grozev (200-94) helped adding 18 points and 10 rebounds. Four UE Varna players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Todor Kolev (190-92) with 12 points and forward Lubomir Lilov (200-87) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
