Regular Season Round 7: Hannover - Goettingen 68-44

The game between fourth ranked Hannover (4-3) and 10th ranked Goettingen (1-6) in Hannover on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Hannover outscored guests from Goettingen 68-44. The game was mostly controlled by Hannover. Goettingen was better in third quarter 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Marissa Janning (173-93, college: Creighton) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and guard Jennifer Crowder (164-96) added 9 points in the effort for Goettingen. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hannover have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 4-3 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Goettingen lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Hannover will face league's second-placed TSV 1880 Wasserburg on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Goettingen will play against BC Pharmaserv Marburg (#4) and hope to win that game.
