Everything could happen in Istanbul at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Darussafaka and 12th ranked Pinar Karsiyaka had identical 1-2 record. This time Darussafaka used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Karsiyaka 78-63. The winners were led by Nigerian center Micheal Eric (210-88, college: Temple) who scored that evening 17 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and American guard Scottie Wilbekin (188-93, college: Florida) supported him with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by American-Hungarian power forward Jarrod Jones (207-90, college: Ball St.) did not help to save the game for Pinar Karsiyaka. Point guard Berk Ugurlu (191-96) added 12 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Darussafaka (2-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Pinar Karsiyaka lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with three games lost. Darussafaka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Besiktas.
