Regular Season Round 4: Anadolu Efes - Demir IBB 94-75

Date: October 30, 2017
There was no surprise in Istanbul where 12th ranked Demir IBB (1-3) was crushed by fourth ranked Anadolu Efes (3-1) 94-75. Anadolu Efes players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen) who scored that evening 21 points and 4 assists and swingman Ricky Ledo (201-92) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists. Even 19 points by guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana) did not help to save the game for Demir IBB. Point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) added 18 points and 4 assists for lost side. Five Anadolu Efes and four Demir IBB players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Anadolu Efes have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Fenerbahce and Eskisehir Basket. Demir IBB lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with three games lost. Anadolu Efes' next round opponent will be Trabzonspor (#15) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Demir IBB will play against Gaziantep and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
