No shocking result in a game when third ranked Elchingen (6-1) crushed on the road 11th ranked Wuerzburg (1-6) 92-58 on Tuesday. Elchingen dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Wuerzburg's 28. Elchingen forced 26 Wuerzburg turnovers. Quite impressive performance for Croatian forward Jere Vucica (206-92, college: Miami, OH, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 7 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). American guard Hayden Lescault (196-92, college: Point Loma) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Elchingen players scored in double figures. Elchingen's coach Dario Jerkic felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Miles Jackson-Cartwright (190-92, college: Pennsylvania) answered with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman Tim Leonhardt (200-94) added 12 points in the effort for Wuerzburg. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Elchingen. They keep a position of South leader, which they share with Schwelm. Wuerzburg lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth place with six games lost. Elchingen will face Bayer Giants (#5) in Leverkusen in the next round. Wuerzburg will play on the road against Titans (#9) in Dresden and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
