Regular Season Round 7: Art.Dragons - Itzehoe 87-77

Very predictable result when second ranked Artland Dragons (5-1) won against 10th ranked Itzehoe (2-5) in Quakenbrueck 87-77 on Tuesday. Artland Dragons looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Andre Calvin (201-85, college: Drake) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Max Rockmann (198-88, college: UMKC) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American forward Kaimyn Pruitt (203-90, college: Adams St., agency: Aspire Sports) answered with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and British-Australian point guard Joshua Wilcher (178-91, college: Cent.Wyoming) added 17 points in the effort for Itzehoe. Itzehoe's coach Patrick Elzie let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Artland Dragons. They maintain second place in North with 5-1 record behind leader Elchingen. Loser Itzehoe dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Artland Dragons will face Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Itzehoe will play against SSV Lok Bernau and hope to win that game.
