Rather expected game when 6th ranked Rostock (3-4) lost on the road to fourth ranked SSV Lok Bernau (5-2) 79-73 on Tuesday. SSV Lok Bernau outrebounded Rostock 36-21 including a 26-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Dexter Werner (198-94, college: N.Dakota St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Ferdinand Zylka (190-98, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 14 points for the winners. American guard Brandon Lockhart (185-90, college: Drury) answered with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and naturalized American Chris Frazier (182-90, college: Dubuque, agency: SportsVision-Service) added 14 points in the effort for Rostock. Four Rostock players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. SSV Lok Bernau moved-up to third place in North. Loser Rostock keeps the sixth position with four games lost. SSV Lok Bernau will face Itzehoe (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rostock will play against the league's leader Schalke (#1) and hope to win that game.
