The game in Frankfurt was also quite interesting. 7th ranked Titans (3-4) played at the court of eighth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (4-3). Fraport Skyliners II defeated Titans 79-68 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Titans. It was a very good performance for forward Richard Freudenberg (206-98, college: St.John's) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. American forward Alex Fountain (201-95, college: Houston Baptist) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Fraport Skyliners II's coach Sebastian Gleim used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Helge Baues (205-94) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Janek Schmidkunz (183-90, college: Amer.Internat.) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Titans. Fraport Skyliners II moved-up to fifth place in South, which they share with Bayer Giants and Giessen 46ers II. Loser Titans dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face FC Bayern II (#10) in Muenchen in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Titans will play at home against Wuerzburg and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProA just one year after relegation.
