An interesting game took place in Joniskis where higher ranked Taurages (5-4) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Delikatesas (3-6) 73-64 on Friday. The best player for the winners was swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Rytis Biliartas (202-91) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Aivaras Kvedaravicius (185-88) who recorded 17 points and 6 rebounds and forward Paulius Morkeliunas (202-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Delikatesas maintains eleventh place with 3-6 record, which they share with Palanga. Taurages lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Neptunas-Akv. and Ezerunas. Delikatesas will meet higher ranked Ezerunas (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Taurages will play against Ereliai Mazeikiai and hope to secure a win.
