Rather predictable result in Wildau where fifth ranked Rendsburg (5-2) defeated 9th ranked WSG Koenigs (1-5) 88-78 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Max Hillner (190-89) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Garrett Jefferson (190-91, college: Cal.Baptist) who added 22 points during the contest. Center Nico Draegert (208-90) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Christoph Tetzner (201-81) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rendsburg have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Bergedorf. WSG Koenigs lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Rendsburg will face Stade (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. WSG Koenigs will play against the league's second-placed Aschersleben and hope to win that game.
