Regular Season Round 8: Bonn II - Recklinghausen 81-83

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Recklinghausen (6-3) edged on the road 12th ranked Bonn II (1-8) 83-81 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jan Letailleur (197-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and Canadian-Polish forward Konrad Tota (196-80, college: Dickinson St.) who added 25 points during the contest. Igor Uzelac (195-98) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and point guard David Falkenstein (185-97) scored 20 points. Four Recklinghausen and five Bonn II players scored in double figures. Bonn II's coach Savo Milovic tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Recklinghausen have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Recklinghausen maintains fifth position in West with 6-3 record. Bonn II lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with eight games lost. Recklinghausen will face Hagen-Haspe (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bonn II will play against Ibbenbueren and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
