Regular Season Round 7: Neuss - Osnabrueck SC 93-87

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Osnabrueck SC (5-1) on the court of second ranked TG Neuss on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by TG Neuss 93-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Osnabrueck SC. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in North. Osnabrueck SC trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 28-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 87-93 at the end of the game. At the losing side American guard Dara Taylor (172-91, college: Penn St.) responded with 19 points, 6 assists and 5 steals and the other American import forward Jacinda Myers-Sanders (187, college: Arkansas Tech) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five TG Neuss and four Osnabrueck SC players scored in double figures. TG Neuss have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place in North with 5-2 record behind leader Freiburg. Osnabrueck SC at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. TG Neuss are looking forward to face Recklinghausen (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Osnabrueck SC will play against Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
