Regular Season Round 8: Kamp-Lintfort - Dorsten 59-81

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Kamp-Lintfort (3-7) was rolled over at home by eleventh ranked Dorsten (3-7) 81-59 on Saturday. Dorsten made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian swingman Lukas Kazlauskas (188-92) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American forward Salathiel Ligons (201-84) who added 22 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Center Lennart Boner (206) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Oskar Mellmann (182) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Four Kamp-Lintfort players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dorsten have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place in West, which they share with defeated Kamp-Lintfort. Dorsten will face higher ranked Hagen BG (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
