Regular Season Round 7: Turk Telekom - Ankara DSI 93-73

TBL top team - Turk Telekom (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Ankara D.S.I. (2-5) 93-73. Turk Telekom made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a quality performance for American power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international power forward Kaya Peker (207-80, agency: Court Side) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Five Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Caner Ercan (205-86) came up with 27 points and 5 rebounds and forward Gokhan-Orcun Tunca (201-80) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Ankara D.S.I. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Turk Telekom. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Ankara D.S.I. at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with five games lost. They share it with Orman Genclik and Duzce Bld.. Turk Telekom will play against league's second-placed Afyon Bld in Afyonkarahisar in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ankara D.S.I.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara TED Kolejliler.
