Regular Season Round 5: Parklji - Konjice 103-71

Very expected game in Bezigrad where 10th ranked Konjice (1-3) was crushed by fifth ranked Parklji (3-1) 103-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Parklji. Konjice was better in fourth quarter 35-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Parklji looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Power forward Jure Licen (197-0) stepped up and scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international forward Zeljko Zagorac (204-81) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Parklji players scored in double figures. Forward Gasper Sevsek (198-93) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and guard Niko Bacvic (180-97) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Parklji have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Loser Konjice dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Parklji will face league's second-placed Terme Olimia in Podcetrtek in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Konjice will play at home against Portoroz (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
