Regular Season Round 5: Triglav - Grosuplje 88-87

The most exciting game of round 5 in the 2SKL took place in Kranj. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Grosuplje (1-3) to sixth ranked Triglav (3-2) 88-87 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 30-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Triglav looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Guard Aleksander Vojicic (192-87) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and guard Jan Bester (177-96) chipped in 13 points and 13 assists. Five Triglav players scored in double figures. Guard Nejc Zdesar (186-98) responded with 25 points and center Matija Trampus (205-89) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Grosuplje's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Triglav moved-up to fourth place. Grosuplje at the other side dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Konjice. Triglav are looking forward to face Celje (#6) on the road in the next round. Grosuplje will play against Medvode and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
