Regular Season Round 5: Horsholm - SISU 89-71

Very significant was Horsholm's (#1, 6-0) victory against 3rd placed SISU (2-3) 89-71. The game was mostly controlled by Horsholm. SISU managed to win fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Horsholm outrebounded SISU 39-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Serbian forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) chipped in 14 points. Horsholm's coach Jesper Krone Rasmussen used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Kama Griffitts (183-91, college: Arizona) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Catharina Jensen (182-89) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Horsholm (6-0) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. SISU at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Horsholm are looking forward to face Vaerlose (#5) on the road in the next round. SISU will play against the league's second-placed Virum and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
