Very expected game when 10th ranked Goettingen (1-7) was defeated at home by fourth ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (5-3) 73-57. The game was mostly controlled by BC Pharmaserv Marburg. Goettingen was better in second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international forward Stephanie Wagner (182-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Tonisha Baker (173-90, college: Campbell) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Trinidad and Tobago-Vincentian center Verdine Warner (196-92, college: Shaw) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman Alissa Pierce (177-86) added 11 points and 4 steals in the effort for Goettingen.
