Regular Season Round 7: TuSLi Berlin - Braunschweig 59-45

Not a big story in a game in Lichterfelde where 10th ranked Braunschweig (1-4) was defeated by third ranked TuSLi Berlin (4-1) 59-45 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by TuSLi Berlin. Braunschweig was better in third quarter 10-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for power forward Nyara Sabally (-0) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Annalena Blume (180-96) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. TuSLi Berlin's coach Alexandra Maerz used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American point guard Ariel Hearn (171-94, college: Memphis) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Brianna Wright (182-94, college: Memphis) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. TuSLi Berlin maintains third place in North with 4-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Freiburg. Braunschweig lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with four games lost. TuSLi Berlin will face Rotenburg/Scheessel (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Braunschweig will play against B.Loewen and hope to win that game.
