Regular Season Round 5: Vaerlose - Virum 68-96

Date: November 5, 2017
The game in Vaerlose supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Virum (4-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Vaerlose (1-4). Virum smashed Vaerlose 96-68. The game was mostly controlled by Virum. Vaerlose was better in fourth quarter 30-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Virum forced 20 Vaerlose turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Vaerlose's players. The former international guard Frederikke Mollerup (176-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. French forward Rudiane Eduardo (185-93, college: UTEP, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Virum players scored in double figures. Guard Andrea Heede-Andersen (-99) answered with 10 points and 6 rebounds and American center Paige Cashin (193-95, college: S.Florida) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Vaerlose. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains second place with 4-1 record having just three points less than leader Horsholm. Newly promoted Vaerlose keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Virum's next round opponent will be SISU (#4) in Copenhagen. Vaerlose will play at home against the league's leader Horsholm and hope to win that game.
