There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Keltern II (3-3) was outplayed at home by ninth ranked Don Bosco Bamberg (2-5) 84-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Don Bosco Bamberg. Keltern II was better in fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard Jamiyah Bethune (173, college: Monmouth) who led her team to a victory scoring 26 points and 4 steals. Her fellow American import power forward Tori Waldner (196-93, college: Penn St.) helped adding 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Four Don Bosco Bamberg players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Jasmine Smith (183, college: San Jose St.) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Serbian forward Katarina Vuckovic (190-94, college: Georgia Tech) scored 13 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Keltern II's coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Don Bosco Bamberg moved-up to eighth place in South, which they share with Krofdorf/Gleib. Loser Keltern II dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Don Bosco Bamberg will have a break next round.
