Regular Season Round 11: Suduva-Mantinga - Telsiai 86-61

An interesting game for Suduva-Mantinga (9-2) which hosted in Marijampole 4th placed Telsiai (6-5). Second ranked Suduva-Mantinga had an easy win 86-61. Suduva-Mantinga dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Telsiai's 30. They outrebounded Telsiai 44-21 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Suduva-Mantinga players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Telsiai's players. It was a great evening for guard Zygimantas Simonis (192-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Antanas Udras (203-92, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 19 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Kajus Okmanas (185-95) responded with 14 points and forward Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-91) scored 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Suduva-Mantinga have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 9-2 record behind leader Vytis. Telsiai at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Taurages. Suduva-Mantinga will play against Perlas (#13) in Vilnius in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Telsiai will play on the road against Taurages (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
