Regular Season Round 9: Hagen BG - Dorsten 111-73

Very expected game when 9th ranked Dorsten (3-8) was rolled over on the road by fourth ranked Hagen BG (8-3) 111-73 on Friday. Hagen BG made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Dorsten only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded Dorsten 40-20 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hagen BG shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian forward Vytautas Nedzinskas (196-87) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Bulgarian guard Milen Zahariev (190-92) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds. Five Hagen BG players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Salathiel Ligons (201-84) who recorded 32 points and 4 assists and Mamadou-Bhoye Sow (188-95) added 10 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Hagen BG. They moved-up to third place in West. Loser Dorsten dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Hagen BG will face league's second-placed Grevenbroich at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
