Regular Season Round 5: Niko-Basket - Kremen-2 106-72

Higher League top team - Niko-Basket (5-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Kremen-2 (2-3) in Mykolaiv 106-72. The game without a history. Niko-Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Niko-Basket forced 22 Kremen-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 47-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Point guard Mykhailo Horobchenko (182-98) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Forward Sergiy Vershinin (198-95) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Niko-Basket's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Yaroslav Kadygrob (195-91) answered with 25 points and 7 rebounds and center Ihor Serheiev (208-1) added 13 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Kremen-2. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Niko-Basket. They maintain first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Dinamo-Bipa. Kremen-2 lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
