Regular Season Round 8: Blackbirds - Raiders 78-96

Another interesting game for Raiders (3-4) which played in Jennersdorf against 5th ranked Blackbirds (4-4). Eighth ranked Raiders had an easy win 96-78. Raiders dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Blackbirds' 30. Raiders had a 28-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin-Slovenian Mensud Julevic (200-85) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Croatian Marko Jurica (195-96, agency: BeoBasket) who added 18 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Guard Manuel Jandrasits (185-87) responded with 20 points and 8 assists and guard Matthias Klepeisz (190-89) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Blackbirds' coach Daniel Muellner rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Raiders maintains eighth position with 3-4 record. Newly promoted Blackbirds dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Rocks. Raiders will play against KOS (#9) in Klagenfurt in the next round. Blackbirds will play on the road against BBU S. in Salzburg and hope to get back on the winning track.
